The AnachB routing service is powered jointly by ITS Vienna Region and Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region (VOR). AnachB is free of charge and available as a website, app, widget and in partner services.
AnachB compares routes and travel times objectively for public transport, cycling, walking, driving and combinations thereof – using real-time data for all of Austria. In addition, AnachB provides current traffic conditions, traffic web cams as well as information on construction sites, detours and traffic news.
With the help of sensor data, traffic models and stored traffic data, ITS Vienna Region computes traffic condition updates for the road network in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland every 7 minutes. These continuous traffic updates are used by AnachB, but are also the basis for many additional products and services:
Traffic events are recorded with the help of numerous sensors. The digital data thus collected requires analysis and processing. ITS Vienna Region provides the federal states with
From time to time, in addition to AnachB as a central service for all road users, ITS Vienna Region also develops services for specific target groups or occasions, such as:
A prerequisite for modern ITS applications is the digital mapping of the entire traffic network. Such a "traffic graph" needs to be particularly up-to-date and detailed in order for administration to be able to use it as an official reference graph. The reference graph used by the Austrian traffic network is the Graph Integration Platform (GIP), in the development of which ITS Vienna Region was heavily involved. Since early 2016, GIP has also been available free of charge as Open Government Data (OGD). ITS operates GIP Austria and offers the following services around GIP:
You can find all information on GIP and the OGD datasets at www.GIP.gv.at.
As the ITS Competence Centre, ITS Vienna Region is well-connected and highly present in this very dynamic industry. ITS Vienna Region offers various services including:
