Research & Innovation
Intelligent Transport Systems are evolving rapidly, which is why the industry relies heavily on research and innovation. ITS Vienna Region sees itself as a pioneer and driving force behind mobility solutions for today and the future and is involved in numerous research projects.
auto.Ready
As part of the BMIMI-commissioned project “auto.Ready” a readiness framework consisting of a knowledge module and a toolset is being developed for the approval of routes for automated mobility in Austria.

FAMOUS
The FAMOUS research project aims to further develop the freight transport model and apply it specifically to access management in cities. To this end, scenarios for access management measures for freight transport are defined, and their impacts on freight flows are evaluated. The goal is to develop solutions for climate-neutral freight transport mobility in cities.
- Funding Program:
- FFG “Mobility (2022) Cities and Digitalization”
